The day I came home and my wife had packed her things

I came back from court one evening, tired. Generator just went off, I was looking for where to charge my phone. I entered the bedroom and the wardrobe was empty. Her side of the closet. Gone.

No note. No call. Just silence. I called her line, it rang and rang. I called her sister, she said my wife told her she needed space. I was confused because we had no fight. No argument. Nothing.

Two weeks later she came back. Said she felt suffocated. That I spend too much time at work and not enough at home. I wanted to argue but I remembered the law doesn't work on feelings. A relationship needs evidence of effort. I had none to show. We are still together, but now I leave court early on Fridays. Small small.
