Amnesty reveals disturbing details of Naridon massacre in Kaduna
3 months ago
Amnesty International has condemned the killing of at least 30 people in an overnight attack on Naridon Village in Kauru LGA, Kaduna State. Heavily armed gunmen stormed the community on Monday night, killing residents and pursuing those who fled into nearby bushes.
In a statement, Amnesty said it obtained gory images showing entire families locked up and slaughtered inside their bedrooms. Children had their throats slit and their heads left with massive cuts. Blood was on beds, in kitchens, and on the trails of those bleeding while trying to escape.
The rights group described the attack as one of the deadliest on southern Kaduna villages in recent years. They added that despite President Tinubu's assurances that security agencies have been directed to end the killings, nothing has changed. The inability to bring attackers to justice is fueling impunity.
