APM says supporting Tinubu in 2027 means more suffering
3 months ago
The Allied People's Movement has come out strongly against President Tinubu's re-election bid, warning that another term would deepen the hardship Nigerians are already facing. Their National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, said yesterday that backing the President would mean supporting more suffering, insecurity, unemployment, poverty, collapsed infrastructure and hopelessness.
Yusuf also accused those campaigning for Tinubu's second term of being discredited politicians seeking cover for corruption charges. He claimed the APC is jittery because they know Tinubu cannot win a free and fair election, especially with Governor Seyi Makinde as the APM's presidential candidate.
This is a strong statement from a party that is positioning itself as the rallying opposition platform. The question is whether Nigerians are ready to move beyond APC and PDP. Be honest, can any opposition party actually unseat an incumbent president in this country?
