Nigerians calling for Tyla boycott but still buying her music
3 months ago
So this Tyla Lagos concert drama wey don scatter social media since yesterday. Nigerians are divided over whether to boycott the South African singer's show because of xenophobia but I am looking at some of you and I am laughing. You people will post boycott on X and still stream her songs on Spotify before you sleep. Make it make sense.
I saw the Punch article and the whole thing is messy. Some people are saying why should we support South African artists when their government dey allow attacks on Nigerians. Others are saying Tyla herself never said anything bad about us. But the real question is if the concert happens tomorrow will you be there or will you be at home watching the clips? Let's argue this one.
