Japa dream is hitting different today after this visa news
3 months ago
My guy called me this morning to say the U.S. is stopping visa processing at Abuja embassy and 24 other African missions. I swear my heart just sank. E be like say the door wey we dey knock since secondary school just got smaller.
I was sitting in my 300L Economics class, lecturer dey yab about demand and supply, and all I could think about is supply of opportunities for us. The exchange rate alone is ₦1,360 to a dollar now. Even the visa application fee will finish my whole semester feeding budget. Na wa for this country.
But I no fit just fold my hands. I've been watching Coursera videos on data analysis at night, saving small small from my freelance writing. If the door is closing one way, I need to find another. My younger brother back in Awka thinks I have everything figured out. God when will this struggle end?
