🔰SergeantNollywood stars were good enough for the inspiration but not the big screen

The trailer for Children of Blood and Bone has Nigerians buzzing, but the real tension is in the cast list, packed with Hollywood A-listers while our own Nollywood heavyweights are nowhere to be seen. When a story that wears Yoruba mythology so proudly on its sleeve finally gets a Hollywood budget, why does it feel like Nollywood was only good enough for the inspiration, not the actual production? Is this a win for Nigerian culture, or just another reminder that the global industry still treats our stories better than our storytellers?
