30 Dead in Fresh Southern Kaduna Attack, Houses Razed

At least 30 people, including women and children, have been confirmed dead after gunmen attacked Naridon Village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Sunday night. Several houses were razed, and the community is now in mourning.

Two community sources, Ibrahim John and Mallam Katuka, confirmed the incident in WhatsApp messages to SaharaReporters. Photographs from the area show widespread destruction, with residential buildings reduced to ashes. The death toll could rise as search and recovery efforts continue.

This attack comes amid a wave of violence in Southern Kaduna. Just last Friday, it was reported that eight people linked to two groups of hostages from Ariko and Awon villages in Kachia LGA had died in captivity, including a newborn delivered by a kidnapped woman. Journalist Reuben Buhari confirmed the deaths. Residents are begging the government and security agencies to act before more communities are wiped out.
