I caught my wife's pastor touching her in the vestry and she said it was prayer

My name is Pastor Emeka, and what I am about to confess is something I have carried for three years now. It happened in my own church, not some strange place. I was the youth pastor, and my wife was very active in the choir. One evening, I went back to the church to pick up a book I forgot. The vestry light was on, and I heard my wife's voice. I didn't think anything of it, our senior pastor, Pastor Ade, was always counseling members there.

I pushed the door open and saw his hands on her shoulders, but it was the look in his eyes that froze me. He was whispering something in her ear, and she was crying. I asked what was happening, and my wife said, 'Pastor Ade is just praying for me, Emeka, my back has been hurting.' But the way he pulled his hands away, the guilt on his face, I knew it was not just prayer. I confronted him later that week, and he said, 'My brother, the anointing flows through my hands, you cannot question God's instrument.' I wanted to believe it. I truly did.

For months, I watched them. I saw how he would call her for 'special counseling' at odd hours. I saw her come home with a new glow, a new phone. I never caught them in the act, but I caught enough. The day I finally told her I was leaving, she said, 'You are just jealous of a man of God.' That was the moment I knew the church had become a market for wolves. I left the ministry for a year after that. I am back now, but I preach with my eyes open. Our people say, 'When you see a man with a goat, you know he is a thief.' I saw the goat, and I still stayed. That is my shame.
