My wife's phone autocorrect turned 'I love you' into 'I love your brother'

So yesterday my wife was sending me a sweet message from the kitchen while I was in the living room. Next thing my phone beeps and I see "I love your brother" instead of "I love you." I just sat there staring at the screen like, which brother? I have three. And why is she confessing love to any of them at 7pm on a Saturday?

I walked into the kitchen calm calm, and I asked her, "Ngozi, since when?" She looked at me confused, then she checked her phone and started laughing so hard she nearly dropped the pot. She said autocorrect did it, but I told her, "The phone cannot invent what the heart does not feel." Nwanne, you should have seen her face. She threw a spatula at me.

Anyway, we laughed about it, but it made me think. These phones are causing wahala in relationships. Imagine if she had sent that to a pastor or her mother. Our people say the tongue has no bone but it can break a heart. Autocorrect has no sense of context, but it has exposed many secrets. If your partner suddenly sends a strange text, before you fight, just ask them to show you the phone. It might be autocorrect, or it might be something else. Either way, the truth will come out.
