PDP faction says INEC dey plan to hijack party and remove Jonathan

The Tanimu Turaki-led PDP faction don accuse INEC of working to hijack the party and replace former President Goodluck Jonathan as our presidential candidate ahead of 2027. According to the party's National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, the commission dey aid efforts to weaken PDP and pave way for one-party state.

Ememobong talk say the party don manually submit im list of candidates to INEC, including Jonathan, but the commission refuse to recognise the Interim National Working Committee wey the Board of Trustees and member-requisitioned NEC set up after Supreme Court judgment. He also criticise the Federal High Court judgment by Justice Salim Oluwasupo Ibrahim, saying, "The judgment reads more like an appeal on the judgement of the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal."

He further accuse INEC of abandoning neutrality and say the Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan, don become the most disparaged before an election, with his most popular photo online being one with a cap bearing the President's insignia. The party don warn INEC against publishing names of candidates from unauthorised persons. This one go set the stage for serious legal battle, but the real question be say: if INEC no recognise this faction, which PDP go actually contest in 2027?
