Fire at Lagos airport and we still dey find who to blame

See ehn, I just landed from Abuja yesterday and my connecting flight was delayed because of the fire incident at the airport. Nobody told us anything for like two hours. Just sitting there watching the smoke from one end of the terminal.

Eventually one official came and said "we are managing the situation" and disappeared. Meanwhile passengers dey carry their own luggage up and down like we are the ones in charge of logistics.

I'm not even surprised anymore. We've built an entire culture around managing situations instead of fixing them. The fire probably started from faulty wiring we all knew about. But na so we dey do things. Manage am.

Anyway, I eventually made it home. My luggage took another two hours to come out. Lagos airport, you never cease to amaze me.
