Fuel price drop? My generator is still laughing at me
3 months ago
So NNPCL finally reduced fuel pump price. Congratulations to everyone who owns a car that actually moves in Lagos traffic. My generator is still drinking fuel like it's a free bar, so the savings don't quite reach my pocket yet.
Let me break it down. The price drop is real, but the data suggests the real cost of living in Lagos has a different dimension. Transport fares won't drop tomorrow. Food prices won't drop next week. But somehow, my landlord's 'maintenance fee' will still find a way to increase. The numbers don't lie, and they're still scary.
Anyway, I'll take the small win. Maybe I'll buy that extra sachet of pure water to celebrate. Who else is still waiting for the price drop to actually reflect in their daily expenses?
