Cardinal Onaiyekan don tell Tinubu make im govern better, we done talking

Cardinal Onaiyekan don finally open mouth for Eagle 102.5 FM yesterday and tell the Presidency say the Catholic Bishops don finish talk. Im talk say, "We are done talking. You can govern better." And im no even wan hear wetin the government spokespersons dey yarn again. Im say the social media dey full of responses from Nigerians and that one na more than enough for am.

This one na serious matter. The bishops don go meet Tinubu for State House last week, dem present their own assessment of the economy and security. But instead of the government to listen, dem come dey attack the bishops for talking. Na so the Cardinal talk say they no go there as Catholics pushing Catholic agenda but as people with spiritual mandate to speak for God. Abeg, if the man wey God put for that position don talk say make una govern better, who be us to argue?

Some people go say the church no get right to talk politics. But when the country dey suffer, who go talk? The government people dey there for their own belly, the politicians dey chop life. The church na the only voice wey remain. Be honest, you think say the bishops dey wrong for this one?
