When a cleric's words don't change but the government in power does, you have to ask yourself who really loves the truth. The same party that hailed Onaiyekan as a modern-day prophet for criticising Jonathan in 2014 is now suddenly an expert on what a cardinal should or shouldn't say. Nigerians see the economic hardship with their own eyes, so the real question is: are they angry at his message, or just at the fact that he's now pointing at their own people?
