Naira don fall again but nobody dey talk about the real thief

I just dey look the exchange rate this morning, dollar don reach ₦1,360. Everybody dey complain, but nobody dey ask the real question: who dey benefit from this wahala wey we dey suffer? I no be politician, I just dey observe. The same people wey dey sell dollar for black market, dem dey laugh all the way to the bank. While we dey calculate how to buy garri, dem dey count their millions.

I remember when I just start work for court, one dollar na ₦80. Na so so talk we dey talk. Now, if you get ₦100,000 salary, e don become less than $75. My brother, this thing no be joke. But see the funny part, everybody dey run to dollar like say na the only way. You buy dollar, I buy dollar, and the price just dey go up. Na we dey shoot ourselves for leg.

Make I tell you something. The other day, one young man came to my office, he say he want to buy land. I ask am, 'How you take get the money?' He say him papa just die and him collect dollar inheritance. I just look am and say, 'My friend, make you no put all your eggs for one basket.' He no listen. Now the dollar don fall small, but the land price don still high. Na so we dey learn.
