EFCC freezing Osun account is pure political witch hunt, Makinde is right

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde don open mouth yesterday and talk the thing wey many of us dey think. He say the EFCC freezing Osun State government account without due process na abuse of federal institutions. The governor talk say, "The 'freezing' of an official state government account without due legal process goes beyond the powers vested in the EFCC by the laws of our land."

Make we no pretend. This one na politics. The timing, coming just before Osun governorship election, no be coincidence. Makinde say am well: "The timing of the action suggests that this is just another attempt by the federal government to unduly influence the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State." If na APC state dem for freeze their account? Abeg. When federal institutions dey used to witch hunt opposition states, e dey destroy public trust. Makinde talk am say, "Democracy cannot thrive where our institutions are perceived as instruments of political intimidation."

I know some people go say EFCC dey do their work, but if na so so PDP states dem dey target, make una tell me. Be honest, if this one no be political interference, why now? The rule of law must prevail over the rule of politics, as Makinde talk. Una see wetin dey happen for this country?
