So some federal lawmakers are now crying out that the National Assembly should reconvene immediately because ₦8.83 trillion was allegedly spent outside the budget, and they claim nobody even noticed. These are the same people who sat quietly while voice votes replaced constitutional requirements, and now they want us to believe they're suddenly bothered about rule of law. If the people elected to check the purse are only now raising alarm from outside, what exactly are we paying them for?
