One container, 140 pump-action rifles, and a truckload of cannabis-laced snacks worth almost 400 million naira. Customs says their intelligence flagged it, two suspects are in custody, and one man is still running free. But nobody believes a container full of weapons and drugs just appears at Tincan Island without inside help. The Comptroller General is already talking about election season and border security, which means we all know this is just the tip of the iceberg. The real question Nigerians need to answer is simple: how many more containers are sitting in our ports right now, and whose pockets are being lined to keep them there?
