Colonel says Nigeria was near collapse before coup plot, una go believe am?

Yesterday, Punch reported say one Colonel wey dem accuse of coup plot against President Tinubu talk say Nigeria was near collapse before dem plan am. The man no mince words, he say the country don dey on the edge and something needed to happen. The thing wey shock me pass na how e dey talk am like say e dey do us a favour, like say na only coup fit save us.

Na so so many things dey my mind since I read am. For one, if the country really near collapse, why we no see am for our daily life? We dey suffer, yes, but we still dey manage. The economy hard, fuel price high, but we no dey for war front. Abi the man just dey use excuse to justify wetin im do? And if e really believe say Nigeria don collapse, why e no follow legal means to change things? Coup no be answer, we don see how military government take destroy our country before.

My own take be say this one na big distraction from the real issues. Instead of them dey fight over power, make them focus on how we go eat, how we go school, how we go get light. The colonel get right to complain, but coup na never the solution for Nigeria. Una think say we need another military ruler for this time wey we just dey enjoy democracy?
