Jollof rice with chicken is not a complete meal. Add dodo or go home.

See ehn, I walked into a buka in Yaba today and ordered jollof rice with chicken. The woman asked if I wanted dodo and I said yes, obviously. The guy behind me laughed and said "who eats jollof without dodo?" and I just looked at him like, bros, exactly.

The thing is, jollof rice alone is just rice with pepper. It's giving side dish energy. The chicken is doing its best but it cannot carry the meal by itself. Dodo is the balance, the sweetness, the texture. Without dodo, you're just eating a bowl of regret.

I know some of una will say dodo is extra cost and rice is already complete. But in this economy, if you're paying for jollof and chicken, add the extra 500 naira for dodo. Your stomach will thank you later. Which one una dey side with?
