Nigerian parents and the 'small chop' that is never small

C

My mother asked me to bring 'small chop' for her church meeting. Small. I bought puff puff, samosa, and meat pie. She looked at me like I insulted her ancestors and said, 'Is this how they trained you in Lekki?'

Next thing I knew, she had sent me back to buy enough food to feed a whole village. I spent ₦45,000. For 'small chop'. The meeting had 12 people.

Nigerian parents don't know the meaning of small. If they say small, prepare to sell a kidney. I'm still recovering. And they wonder why we don't visit often. 😭
