Kwankwaso drags Tinubu into Muslim-Christian ticket gist with Remi 'in other room'

Rabiu Kwankwaso, the NDC presidential running mate, has stirred fresh controversy by replying to Sheikh Sani Jingir's call for another Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2027. Speaking in Kano, Jingir said, "I am one of those who raise the flag of Islam, I am calling on people to come and let us do Muslim-Muslim again. I know this statement pains the unbelievers."

But Kwankwaso fired back in an interview with DCL Hausa, describing Tinubu as a balanced politician who practices a Muslim-Christian ticket at home. He said, "Even in his own home, he practices a Muslim/Christian ticket 'in the other room (Tinubu/Remi).'" He also reminded everyone that all of Tinubu's deputies in Lagos were Christians.
