The 'I Don Port' WhatsApp Status That Made Me Question Everything

My cousin just changed his WhatsApp status to 'I don port, no more Naija wahala' with a picture of London Bridge. This same boy was asking me for data money last week because he needed to submit his CV online.

I checked the picture small. It was a screenshot from Google Maps. The location tag was still visible at the bottom. I can't with these people sef.

Meanwhile, my other friend in the village just posted 'Japa loading' with a picture of a British Airways plane. The plane was flying over Lagos. We all know say him application still dey processing. The only thing wey don port na his ambition.

See, I understand the dream. But this digital japa wey people dey do, posting airport pictures from last year and calling it 'new chapter', na the same energy as people wey dey wear fake Rolex to church. The goal is to look like you made it, not to actually make it.

Anyway, if e make dem happy, who I be? I just hope when the real japa comes, the data money debt go settle itself.
