So the EFCC has recovered over N115 billion from 24 oil companies dodging their NDDC levies, yet some of these same companies are still running to the Senate with excuses instead of showing up with their money. If 43 companies were invited and 19 got a clean bill, how many more billions are quietly slipping through the cracks while we debate appearances? The real question is: why should we celebrate recovery when the system still lets these giants treat statutory payments like a suggestion?
