Osun Senator Says 'Kill' But Means Votes? Abeg Come Again
3 months ago
Yesterday, the Senior Political Assistant to Atiku Abubakar, Mr Demola Olarenwaju, came out hard on Senator Francis Fadahunsi over that viral video where he allegedly told his supporters to kill members of the Accord Party ahead of the Osun governorship election. The senator has denied it, claiming he meant to 'kill Accord' with votes, not physical violence. But Olarenwaju is not buying that excuse for one minute.
Olarenwaju posted on X that Fadahunsi should be at the police station, not on television, and he directly linked this to President Bola Tinubu's 'all is fair in politics' comment. In his words: 'Bola Tinubu's all is fair in politics statement has laid the foundation for extreme actions by APC persons, with Osun as the first experiment and Fadahunsi as the first APC chieftain caught on camera acting accordingly.' He even called for Fadahunsi's arrest and house arrest until the election is concluded.
Now, I am an old man from Ibadan, and I have seen many elections in this country. But this 'kill them with votes' explanation is an insult to everybody's intelligence. If I tell my son to go and kill somebody, and he says he meant to kill them with kindness, will the police accept that? The man was caught on camera, and the federal police are keeping quiet. The question is simple: if this was a PDP or Labour Party senator, would he still be walking free today?
