My grandmother thinks I'm a doctor because of my finsta

So I'm on the phone with my grandmother in the village the other day, and she's asking how 'the medicine' is going. I'm confused, then I remember I posted a picture of myself in a white lab coat at a brand shoot for a skincare client. She thinks I'm a doctor now. I didn't correct her.

I just let her believe it. She started telling the whole compound that her granddaughter is a doctor in Lagos. Meanwhile I'm editing a 15-second TikTok for a noodle brand and can't afford new data.

The thing is, I'm not even mad. The woman has never had anyone to brag about. But now I have to avoid wearing casual clothes in any pictures she might see. The pressure is real. When did our lives become content and our lies become our CV?
