The audacity of Lagos landlords and their 'inspection' visits

Landlord say he wan come do inspection tomorrow. I bin dey clean since 6am. Mop, bleach, rearrange furniture wey I no even buy. I even cook the house to smell like fresh bread.

He come, open fridge, check my freezer, touch my curtains, ask why I get two irons. Then he say 'the rent is due in two weeks' and leave. No sorry, no thank you.

I swear, na only in Lagos we dey do free cleaning for people wey no be our family. The inspection na just excuse to remind you say you dey suffer. 😭
