Davido Alleges Osun PDP Chairman Arrested By Police During Election

Afrobeats star Davido has alleged that the Osun State Chairman of the PDP, Sunday Bisi, was arrested by police at his residence in Ilesa on Saturday during the governorship election. Davido made the claim on his X account, stating the arrest happened around 2 p.m.

According to Davido, police invaded Bisi's house and accused him of moving around on election day. He wrote: "Osun PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, has been arrested in his Ilesa residence around 2 p.m. by the police." He also criticised the police, saying: "The same agency that ignored APC thugs harassing voters. It is well."

This raises serious questions about how the police are handling election day activities. If true, why arrest a party chairman for simply moving around while alleged thugs are left unchecked? What is happening in Osun today?
