Big Hammer chased voters in Ejigbo, we are still calling this an election?
So this morning, a man simply known as "Big Hammer," allegedly loyal to the APC, stormed the polling unit of the ADC governorship candidate, Najeem Salam, in Ejigbo, Osun State. The video from SaharaReporters shows voters and election agents scattering like market chickens, one person even said, "We had to jump the fence to escape, this is very uncalled for." This is not a war zone, this is a civic exercise. A man with a nickname like a WWE wrestler is deciding who gets to vote in Nigeria in 2026.
Governor Ademola Adeleke has also raised the alarm about a police officer called "London" brought from Port Harcourt by the APC to "disorganise the vote." He said, "I got some information for my people in Osun State. There is one Police officer called London from Port Harcourt, they brought him to come and disorganise the vote, so I am calling on the Inspector General of Police and all the security agents to watch out and be on the look out." So we have Big Hammer on one side and London on the other, these are not election officials, these are characters from a Nollywood script about election rigging.
Who benefits from this chaos? Not the ordinary voter in Ejigbo or Ede who just wants to cast a ballot. The INEC is supposed to be the umpire but they are watching thugs and rogue police officers run the show. The question is simple: when will security agencies arrest Big Hammer and London, or are they part of the same machinery that wants to steal this election? We cannot keep calling this democracy when citizens are jumping fences to save their lives.
