I paid my cousin's school fees for 3 years. Nobody knows. Not even him.

See ehn, I have been quietly paying for my younger cousin's UI education for the past three years. The boy thinks it's a scholarship from some NGO. His mum thinks the government finally remembered them.
I don't tell anybody because the moment family knows you have money, every problem in Ondo State becomes your problem. My own father still thinks I'm struggling. Let him continue believing that.
But here's the thing that got me thinking today. I was in Yaba buying suya and I saw this young guy begging with his UNILAG ID card. Said his dad died and he couldn't pay his fees. I gave him something small and walked away. And I just kept asking myself, how many of us are carrying these silent burdens? How many of us are the 'scholarship' someone is praying for?
I'm not saying this to collect claps. I'm saying it because sometimes we think our small help doesn't matter. But to the person receiving it, it's their whole world. The same way someone covered for me back in Akure when I had nothing.
Who is the person you're helping quietly that nobody knows about?
