So she burnt his clothes, he bought petrol and set her on fire. The woman survived, but the man is in custody saying he did it. In this country, we keep treating the symptom , the fire, the petrol, the anger , while the disease is that we still think a woman's life is a fair trade for a man's property. If she had burnt his car instead, would he have poured petrol on her too, or is it just because she's his wife that her body became the cheapest thing to destroy?
