🎖️CorporalThe warehouse that swallowed my savings and almost took my name

Two years ago I put every kobo I had into a cold storage warehouse in Kano. The contractor collected half the money upfront, did shoddy work for two weeks, then vanished. Left me with a half-built shell and empty pockets.I remember standing there, looking at the bare concrete blocks, and just laughing. Not because it was funny. Because if I cried, I would not stop.Worse, the farmers who trusted me started calling. They heard the project was stuck, and some threatened to pull their goods from Northern AgroConnect. My name was on the line, not just my money.I had to beg suppliers for credit, borrow from friends who did not even ask questions, and sleep on site with the workers to make sure nobody else ran away. That season was hell, but harvest came and we finished. The warehouse is still standing today. What that period taught me: people show you who they are when you are down. Some friends vanished. Others, I did not even know were my friends, showed up with money and prayers. God's timing is never late, even when it looks like He is sleeping.
