Dele Momodu just exposed why APC is shaking for 2027

Dele Momodu of the ADC was on Channels Television's Politics Today this Monday and he did not hold back. He said President Bola Tinubu personally lost the Osun governorship election, not the APC. His words: "Without any doubt whatsoever he (Tinubu) lost, who was Oyebamiji in the scheme of things? Who was Oyetola in the scheme of things?" He called both APC's Bola Oyebamiji and Gbeyega Oyetola name droppers who were just using Tinubu's name in Osun.

Momodu also made a very serious point about the state of our democracy. He said the APC is afraid because the Osun result is sending a wrong signal to voters ahead of 2027. And he mentioned that a man who said on camera that his fellow citizens should be killed could walk in and out of a police station freely. That is the kind of impunity we are dealing with. He credited Davido's social media updates for keeping people informed, saying "Otherwise, till midnight, at a stage they stopped counting the votes and they were going to do their abracadabra as usual."

Now here is my question. If Osun voters can choose based on merit and not on presidential endorsement, what stops the rest of Nigeria from doing the same in 2027? The APC should be worried. The question is whether the rest of us will be as brave as Osun people when our own election comes. Be honest, are we ready to vote for competence over the big names they keep throwing at us?
