So the man who annulled June 12 and left a legacy of corruption is getting birthday love at 85, and Sowore is asking why we're clapping for him instead of remembering the damage. He's not wrong that the choices made in power still affect our pockets and democracy today, but is it fair to reduce a whole life to the worst decisions? We love to celebrate our own, but where do we draw the line between forgiving the past and keeping the memory of what was stolen alive?
