Nigerian parents and their 'small small' instructions. I can't with this generation 💀

My mum called me this morning to say she needs me to buy 'small provisions' for her. I get to the market, she sends a list longer than my NYSC call-up letter. Rice, garri, palm oil, groundnut, maggi, and 'don't forget the one I told you about yesterday'. Ma, there was no yesterday conversation. She's just testing if I'm a mind reader now.

Then she says 'it's small, just one bag'. One bag of rice in this economy? I carried that thing like I was in a weightlifting competition. My arms are still shaking.

Nigerian parents will say 'small' and mean a whole supermarket restock. They think we have money wey dey grow on trees. God when??
