N1,430 Per Litre And They Want Us To Keep Quiet?

T

Fuel don hit N1,430 per litre and Joe Ajaero of NLC is asking Tinubu a simple question: you can't watch Nigerians suffer like this. NNPCL stations in Abuja dey sell between N1,395 and N1,450 as we speak. Dangote and depot owners already pushed ex-depot price to between N1,265 and N1,340 before the pump even see the light of day.

Ajaero said the truth that many people are too scared to say out loud. Government is making USD35 to USD40 extra per barrel above the budgeted figure in the international spot market, trillions of naira every month, yet no palliative is reaching the person buying fuel in Ikeja or Aba. He even asked why local refineries are importing crude when we have oil in our own ground. That one pain me pass.

Every hike hits transport first, then food, then rent, then school fees. The man selling akara in Yaba will add N100 before you blink. If you dey earn below N200k a month in this Nigeria, tell me how you are surviving without borrowing. Be honest, is deregulation working for you or is it just a fancy word for suffering?
