Fuel don hit ₦1,430 per litre and my generator just became a family heirloom

Filled my generator yesterday. 25 litres. The boy at the filling station told me the new price and I just laughed. Not because it was funny. Because if I didn't laugh I would have sat down on the concrete.

₦1,430 a litre. That is roughly $1.05 at the current rate. For fuel. In a country that pumps crude oil. Meanwhile the crude oil price is dropping globally, but somehow our own pump price is climbing like it's training for Olympics. Make it make sense.

My shop runs on inverter now, but the inverter battery needs charging, and charging needs fuel. So really, everything in Aba runs on petrol. The barber, the tailor, the welder, the cold room where they keep my drinks. We are all just paying rent to NNPCL at this point. How una dey cope for una side?
