Kwankwaso Says APC Governors Are Not In Charge, And He Is Right

Rabiu Kwankwaso went on Arise Television today and said straight that governors under President Bola Tinubu are not in charge. His exact words: "Governors are not in charge. Today's governors are not as powerful as governors were in 1999."

If you sell in Balogun or any market in this country you already know this thing. A governor cannot even fix one road without somebody in Abuja signing off. They enter Government House, spend money anyhow with brothers and family, and then the same state is begging for allocation by month end. The power is not there, only the title is there.

Some people will say Kwankwaso is just bitter because he is in NDC now. But be honest, when last did your governor do something without waiting for Abuja to nod? Am I the only one that thinks the states are just decoration?
