ICC tribunal for Paris don rule say Abubakar Malami, former Attorney-General, enter corrupt deal with Leno Adesanya of Sunrise Power over the Mambilla project. The tribunal say the deal could have exposed Nigeria to $400 million in damages, and Adesanya himself testified say Malami and then-Power Minister Saleh Mamman demanded 50 per cent of the $200 million settlement as bribe.
Malami's reply? He say the Mambilla dispute start in 2003, before him, and he only inherit am. He even quote himself say, "The protection of Nigeria from substantial financial exposure is an outcome every patriotic Nigerian should welcome." So the man who ICC say take bribe is now the patriot wey save us. Make that one sink.
Adesanya claim he get audio and video of the bribe talk but he no release am. The tribunal still find say the agreements no valid because no presidential approval. So who really dey play who? If the tape dey, why e no show am? If Malami clean, why the ICC talk corruption?
