US Firm Working For Atiku Says It Will Meet Trump Next Week Over Tinubu
about 1 month ago
A US firm working for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says it will engage President Donald Trump next week over President Bola Tinubu's government. The firm, Von Batten Montague York-LC, made this known in a post on X on Tuesday, following Trump's address at the United Nations General Assembly.
The firm alleged that Trump, during his speech, raised concern over foreign governments the US identified as persecuting Christians, and claimed Nigeria under Tinubu was among them. It said the Tinubu administration is complicit in the killing of Christians and is also targeting Muslims, including children mining to feed their families.
Read their exact words: "We will engage with the Trump Administration next week to emphasise that President Tinubu's government is not only complicit in the killing of Christians across Nigeria but is also directly targeting innocent Muslims, including impoverished Muslim children who were mining simply to help feed their families." The firm added that it wants the US to support free and fair elections in 2027 so Nigerians can remove Tinubu and elect what it called responsible leaders.
