Primate Ayodele Says Shettima Will Take Over From Tinubu Before 2031

Primate Elijah Ayodele of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has released a video saying President Bola Tinubu may not finish a second term if he wins in 2027, and that Kashim Shettima could take over before 2031.

The cleric said the statement is a warning from divine revelation, not a curse. He referenced the late President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua, who died in office in 2010 after prolonged illness, as a possible precedent. He also alleged that people around Tinubu are shielding him from opinions and messages that could challenge his decisions.

Ayodele said directly, "If Tinubu wins the second time, he will not finish it. I stand by my word, he will not finish it. What happened to Yar'Adua or whatever that will make him not to finish it will lead to an emergency government, making Shettima take over from him, might happen."

This is not the first time clerics have spoken about leaders and their tenure. In Yoruba land we say, Ojo ti o ba ku, a ko mo eni ti yoo je e, meaning the day is not dead, we do not know who will eat it. It is a reminder that no one knows tomorrow.

My question is simple. When men of God speak about political power like this, does it strengthen your faith or does it just add to the confusion we already have in this country?
