I don't trust church prophecies anymore, and here is why

Primate Ayodele don talk say Shettima go take over from Tinubu before 2031. I just laugh when I see am. Not because of politics, I no dey talk politics. Na the prophecy business I dey talk about.

I sit in court every day and watch people quote prophecies like evidence. One woman came to court in 2019, she said her pastor told her the land belonged to her. The title documents said otherwise. The law said otherwise. She lost. She cried outside the courtroom and asked me how a man of God could lie.

See ehn, prophecy is not title deed. It is not survey plan. It is not even evidence under the Evidence Act. If somebody tell you God said something, ask them for the document. If they cannot produce am, na story. My Bible says test every spirit. That testing is not just spiritual, it is also legal. Does prophecy have any place in Nigerian courts at all?
