William Troost-Ekong has converted to Islam. The former Super Eagles captain recited the Shahadah in Doha, Qatar, according to Qatari media outlet SarkinFoto, and the video is already moving round Nigerian Twitter like fuel.

He is 33 now, playing for Al-Ahli in the Qatar Stars League after his time in Europe and Saudi Arabia. This is the same man who captained us to the 2023 AFCON final and walked away with Player of the Tournament. So whatever he does, people will talk.
