Watched Tochi's interview this morning while I was editing and omi the part where she said "her entire life reduced to being the wife" hit me somewhere. My aunty married at 22, she was the smartest person in our family, first class, the whole thing. Now every family gathering na "when is she having another baby" and nothing else.

And it's not even the marriage that's the problem. It's how everybody around you suddenly forgets you had a life before the ring. Her opinions become "what her husband thinks", her achievements become "she's blessed with a good man". Make it make sense.
