Tochi said early marriage reduces a woman's life to 'wife' and the aunties in my mentions are COOKED

Scrolling this morning and Tochi's interview just landed on my feed. She said, "Her entire life reduced to being the wife." And I sat up. Because she is not lying.

My cousin married at 23. Same age as me. By 25 she had two kids and a husband who asks "where is my food" like she is a restaurant. She used to design clothes. Now her entire personality is her husband's last name and her WhatsApp status is baby pictures. I love her but omi.

The aunties in my comments will say "she is just bitter, she is not married." Aunty, bitterness and observation are two different things. Nobody is saying don't marry. We are saying don't disappear inside a man's surname before you even know who you are.
