My cousin has been paying for my UI lessons for 3 years and I just found out

I found out on Tuesday. I had been thinking my cousin Deji was just being nice when he would send me money every month for my design course. I thought maybe he was getting a cut from the school or something. I even asked him once and he said "don't worry about it, just focus on your craft."

Then I saw the receipts in his email. Three years. Every single month. He never missed one. Not when his client disappeared with his money. Not when he was eating garri in his Yaba apartment because consulting was slow. He just kept sending.

I called him and asked why. He said "because you are the only one in this family who is actually building something, and I refuse to let you stop because of ₦15,000." That is $11. I have been carrying $11 a month on my back for three years and I did not even know. I don't know what to do with this information. I just know I can't waste it.
