Peter Obi says Anambra no owe one kobo when he leave office

Peter Obi went on Arise TV on Thursday and said something that plenty people go find hard to swallow. He said the day he handed over, Anambra no dey owe any worker salary, gratuity or pension. Not one contractor wey finish work and get verified. And he added that he, Peter Obi, never approach any bank to borrow money or issue bond for Anambra in his eight years.

He even quote himself say, "On the day I left office, the government of Anambra State, which I served, was not owing any salary, gratuity or pension to those scheduled to be paid by the state government." The man talk am plain. He also say the matter with Soludo no be personal fight, that Soludo na governor of him state and he respect am. But the loan and liability argument between the two camps still dey ground.

Me I no dey take side on whether the records correct or not, but if truly a governor serve eight years, no borrow, no owe pension, then we need to ask why other states dey owe workers for months. Be honest, which governor for this country can stand on TV today and say the same thing about him own state?
