Atiku Says Tinubu Must Go In 2027, Promises To Restore Fuel Subsidy
about 1 month ago
Atiku Abubakar was in Akure yesterday and he did not mince words. The former Vice President, now flying the ADC flag, told a crowd that Nigerians should vote out Bola Tinubu's administration in 2027, accusing the APC of worsening the hardship in the country.
He said, "We are committed to restoring subsidy; we are committed to restoring security all over this country." He also recalled the 1999 to 2007 years when he served as VP, claiming Nigeria was Africa's number one economy then and has now dropped to number five, asking, "Who is responsible for taking us down and backward? Is it not APC?"
The event was not small. Eyitayo Jegede, the former PDP governorship candidate in Ondo, defected to ADC with his supporters, and Rauf Aregbesola, now ADC National Secretary, was there representing David Mark. Jegede said plainly, "There is unemployment in Nigeria; you can all see it. There is hardship; you can all see that." So the real question is this: is Atiku genuinely the alternative Nigerians have been waiting for, or is this just another round of political movement before 2027?
