Palm oil that stains your hand red is not quality, it's dye and we need to talk about it

Went to buy palm oil for my stew on Saturday and the woman brought out this one that was RED red. Like blood. I asked her if it's fresh and she said "na the best one, my sister." Omo I just laughed and walked away.

My grandmother in the village sends me palm oil every two months. It's thick, it's orange-brown, it stains your pot and your hand for two days. That's how you know it's real. This one they're selling in Lagos markets now that looks like Fanta? Something is wrong.

It's giving poison in a bottle and we're all just eating it because we don't have time to question. My mother said the same thing happened with red pepper years ago. So why are we still buying with our eyes closed?

Would you still buy palm oil from your regular market woman if she can't tell you where it came from?
