Fayemi Working To Defeat Tinubu In 2027, Galadima Alleges

Alhaji Buba Galadima has alleged that former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi is coordinating a seven-man opposition group working to defeat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Galadima made the claim on Thursday during an appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today, saying, "I also want to say publicly that I am one of the group of opposition candidates, seven of us, under the coordination of Governor Fayemi Kayode, working on that, and we are making progress." Asked what they were working on, he said outrightly, "To defeat Tinubu."

He also expressed confidence that the NDC presidential candidate, Peter Obi, would win if the election is free and fair. Meanwhile, a media aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike said he would not believe the claim until Fayemi debunks it. Is this genuine opposition strategy or just political noise ahead of 2027?
